    1. Before You Read:Teacher will read aloud Before You Read section as students follow along and annotate by circling the key words and underlining the explanations of them.
    2. Pre-Reading: Identify and label Title, Author, Genre, Publishing Date on p. 23
    3. Read: Read aloud, calling on student volunteers. Stop at lines to complete questions in the margins (ex, stop after line 10 to complete "clarify")
    4. Stamp: Please stamp students papers at the point they completed their annotations during the last 5 minutes of class. Have the adult aides and student aides help you :)
